Правительство Танзании предупредило туроператоров о введении 18-процентного НДС за неделю, поставив турфирмы в тяжёлое положение.
Туроператоры Танзании жалуются, что туристы начали отказываться от сафари, не желая платить больше, или доплачивать за уже оплаченные услуги, пишет The Telegraph. Причиной для таких тяжёлых времён стало неуклюжее решение правительства страны о введении 18-процентного НДС на туристические услуги. Причём, самое худшее в этом не само введение налога, говорят туроператоры, а тот факт, что правительство предупредило о введении налога за неделю, когда большинство туров уже оплачено. Турфирмы страны, организующие сафари жалуются, что клиенты бомбардируют их письмами, а самим турфирмам приходится звонить или писать клиентам, объясняя ситуацию и требуя внести доплату, которая часто составляет сотни фунтов.
