В Африке туристам предлагают дайвинг за алмазами, сообщает Bloomberg. Для погружения необходимо иметь специальный сертификат. Стоимость услуги составляет $16 тыс.
Подобными сафари в Южной Африке занимается, к примеру, компания Benguela Diamond. Ее туры рассчитаны на группы от двух до шести гостей.
Клиентов отвозят в Порт-Ноллот, где их встречают специалисты по дайвингу. Во время погружения туристы занимаются наблюдением и пытаются найти алмазы, а их сопровождающие выполняют остальную работу. На берегу находки оценивает эксперт, с его помощью можно решить, какие камни стоит обработать.
За находки, которые турист захочет оставить себе, необходимо заплатить налоги и прочие сборы.
